Chevrolet Corvette (C3)

The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) stands as the third iteration of the iconic sports car series, manufactured by Chevrolet between 1967 and 1982, spanning the model years from 1968 to 1982. While many of its engines and chassis components remained consistent with the previous generation, notable updates were made to its body and interior.

Notably, the 1979 model year saw unprecedented sales figures, with a staggering 53,807 units produced. This generation also reintroduced the “Stingray” moniker, albeit now as a single word, spanning from 1969 to 1976, a departure from its previous “Sting Ray” iteration used during the C2 generation (1963–1967). Interestingly, the Stingray nameplate went into hiatus until its revival in 2014 with the launch of the C7 model.

The Chevrolet Corvette (C3), embodying the essence of automotive excellence, graced the roads from 1967 to 1982, spanning model years 1968 to 1982. While its mechanical core retained echoes of its predecessor, the C3 boasted refined aesthetics and interior luxury.

Noteworthy is its remarkable sales zenith in 1979, with an impressive 53,807 units produced. Reintroducing the iconic “Stingray” epithet, albeit now streamlined into a single word, it adorned models from 1969 to 1976, before retiring until its triumphant return in 2014 with the C7 incarnation.
